To become Verified, a merchant member accepting credit cards in the United States must provide us with proof that the business has opened an account at another financial institution in the USA, a registered business, located at a physical address and completed a credit/background check with Trans Union or Experian. Because all financial institutions are required by law to screen account holders under the Patriot Act/FinCEN regulation (Section 326/314), our verification process increases security when you pay parties you do not know.
